Mercan Group took part in the Overseas Immigration & Study Abroad Fair, on March 29, organized by Korea Exhibition, reinforcing its commitment to connecting international investors with strategic global opportunities. Representing Mercan at the event was Jason Morgan, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, alongside Mr. Daniel de la Guarda, Vice Consul of the Embassy of Panama in the Republic of Korea.

The event served as an important platform to introduce Korean audiences to the Panama Qualified Investor Program, while also strengthening the growing ties between Panama and Korea through investment, mobility, and international cooperation.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Daniel de la Guarda highlighted the strong and longstanding relationship between the two countries, noting that “Panama and Korea are two countries with a great relationship going back decades.” He also emphasized Panama’s appeal as an investment destination, pointing to its dollarized economy, diverse banking system, role as a logistics hub, and reputation as one of the safest countries in Latin America.

The Vice Consul also recognized the value of Mercan Group’s collaboration with local partner Hanmaum in promoting the program in Korea, underlining a shared belief in the opportunities Panama can offer investors seeking both international diversification and potential residency pathways. As Mr. Daniel de la Guarda noted, the seminar aimed to provide “a useful introduction to the opportunities our country can offer.”
